The Wheel of the Year Pendant represents the eight Wiccan Sabbats. “Sun Wheel” comes from the solar cross, which was a calendar used to mark the solstices and equinoxes.
The Wheel represents the eight Wiccan Sabbats and the earth’s yearly cycle. To pagans, sabbats and equinoxes are important since they are markers for when to plant and when to harvest.
Each turn of the wheel marks a progression and each is celebrated in Wicca, where each turn represents something different. This turning of the wheel is very symbolic of moving forward in your life. When the earth goes through changes every season, we also go through very similar changes.
